The Excellence in Teaching Awards, also known as the ETAs are awards given out by the University of Southampton Students' Union to the best lecturers at the University of Southampton. Started in 2013, the next ETA award ceremony will be on 8 May in the Union Building. The five categories of award are:〔http://www.susu.org/running-your-union/union-awards/2013/eta/awards〕 * Outstanding Lecturer * Teaching and Learning Lifetime Achievement * Innovative Teaching * Best Feedback Provision * Contribution to Academic Support The winners of the Outstanding Lecturer and Lifetime Achievement awards also become Honorary Members of SUSU.
